Archaeological Museum Ioannina, Epirus
Ioannina Museums - The Archaeological Museum of Ioannina, located in Epirus, boasts a rich collection of artifacts dating back to the Lower Palaeolithic period, approximately 250,000 years ago. Founded in the 1960s, this museum showcases incredible discoveries from throughout the region, including items from the Late Roman era. Notably, some of the most breathtaking pieces in the collection were uncovered at the Dodoni archaeological site, which was once considered one of the most important sanctuaries in ancient Greece.
