Corfu Museums - The Numismatic Museum in Corfu, Greece is a must-visit for history buffs. Housed in the first branch of the Ionian Bank, its collection boasts over 2000 exhibits, including rare Greek banknotes dating all the way back to 1822, and the last ones in circulation before the introduction of the euro in 2002. The museum also showcases sketches, printing plates, and archive material, as well as photographs and accounting books. Visitors can even witness the modern banknote manufacturing process. Originally designed in 1840 by Ioannis Chronis, an architect from Corfu, the museum was later renovated and reorganized by historian and museum curator Aris Rapidis.
