Lefkada Caves - Located to the south of the village of Evgiros, Pig Cave in Lefkada, Greece is a historically significant site. It is identified as the pigsty of Eumaeus, the local shepherd of Odysseus. Excavations carried out at Pig Cave have unearthed numerous fascinating discoveries. These include pottery and tools from the Neolithic Age, as well as evidence that people were actually inhabiting the cave during the Classical Age. With dimensions of 16m in length and 13m in width, Pig Cave is a considerable size. All the remarkable findings from this site can be viewed at the archaeological museum in Lefkada.
