Rhodes Churches & Monasteries - The Moni Thari in Rhodes, Greece is a thirteenth-century monastery dedicated to the Archangel Michael. It is located near the village of Laerma and was built on top of earlier foundations. One of the highlights of this monastery is its remarkable frescoes. Interestingly, Moni Thari was constructed by replacing an ancient church that was built centuries ago with a temple to Apollo.
