Lefkada Churches & Monasteries - Agios Spiridon Church in Lefkada, Greece was constructed in the late 1600s and is situated in the town's central square. This Vasiliki-style church features a single oblong shape with low ceilings and no dome, complete with entrances on either side that showcase clear Venetian architectural influence. The icons within the church were crafted by a skilled Zakinthian wood cutter, while the Cretans of Venetian descent were responsible for creating the breathtaking icons that adorn the interior.
