Dedicated to Sts. Constantine and Helen, this monastery is located in the heart of Kalamata in the Peloponnese, just a short distance from the metropolis of Ypapanti and under the castle of the Messinian capital. The monastery earned its name from its support of the locals during the 18th century when Kalamata hosted many girls from the surrounding areas. The monks provided aid to the inhabitants of the area during the Occupation and most recently during the 1986 earthquake.
