Corfu Churches - The St. Jason and Sosipater Church in Corfu, Greece is a historic Byzantine church located in Anemomylos, near Garitsa. This Christian church is dedicated to two disciples of the Apostle Paul, Saint Jason and Saint Sosipater, who brought Christianity to Corfu Island in the 1st century AD. As the oldest Christian church in Corfu, built in the early 11th century, it is also the most significant Byzantine monument in the area. This two-columned cross-shaped church boasts an octagonal dome and houses preserved frescoes dating back to the 11th and 14th centuries, along with icons created by the renowned hagiographer Emmanuel Tzane in the 16th century.
