How To Get There


Sparta is connected by KTEL buses to Athens and other surrounding Peloponnese places, including Kalamata, Gythio, Mystras, and Monemvasia. You must take the KTEL bus from Kifissos bus station in order to get from Athens to Sparti. The journey takes around four hours.

If you wish to drive from Athens to Sparta, you take the National Highway that links Athens to Corinth. After you pass the Corinth Channel, you take the Highway to Tripoli (E65); continue on the National Road Tripoli (E961) to reach Sparta. This distance is over 200 km.
