Remaining faithful to the traditional art since 1938, the owners at Cretan Knives in Chania town have created the knife handle with natural and animal products such as calfbone, Cretan goat horn, ox horn, roe deer horn, olive-tree wood, and sometimes high-quality artificial material. They work the blade with the hammer in the furnace and the wheel with materials such as springs, rasps, axes, and high-quality steel, continuing this way the history of making the traditional knives the way the grandfather and father, who were the pioneering knife makers in Chania, did.
