Villa Thea and Villa Susanna lie on the eastern ridge of the village which extends to the ancient Cretan/Roman ruins of Aptera and beyond to the Turkish fortress with its majestic view of the western Crete coastline.
The traditional Cretan village of Megala Chorafia lies in the foothills of the White Mountains just 12km from the beautiful Venetian town of Chania, 3km from the town of Souda and 4km from the beachside village of Kalives.
Thea and thea’s studio, is a charming traditional stone built villa, built in the traditional Cretan style with classical archways, wood beam ceilings, stone tiled floors and a large Cretan fireplace. The villa is built from local stone designed to keep guests cool in summer and warm in the winter. Thea is located in a quiet setting with its own stone terrace downstairs surrounded by roses and oleander trees. The terrace faces North with a magnificent view of Souda Bay. There is a second terrace upstairs from which you have a beautiful view south towards the White Mountains. (Sleeps 6 up to 8 persons).
Susanna Villa is a beautiful stone villa with a unique charm of its own. Designed and built by its owner Manolis, Susanna is built on 2 levels in the traditional Cretan style. It has classical archways, wood beam ceilings, stone tiled floors and a large Cretan fireplace. The stone design renders the house cool in summer and warm in winter. The villa can accommodate up to 4 people and is perfect for a family of 2-3 children.
Thea Studio boasts marble flooring, a new modern bathroom, an open plan kitchen, dining area and sleeping quarters with a king size bed for extra comfort. With new furniture, fixtures and fitting according to the Cretan Style, Thea Studio Offers its guests a compact, comfortable and practical base for restful holiday. Thea Studio has views of the sea and of the coasting line to the North and of the White Mountains to the South. There is a well maintained graduated depth swimming pool near to the studio which is shared with the guests in Villa Thea. “Thea Studio” may be rented as an extension alongside Villa Thea and would be ideal accommodation for a couple, for elderly guests or for teenagers needing space from mum and dad.
