Located on Plakes Beach, south of Hydra's harbor, is the Four Seasons Hydra hotel. One of the nicest places to stay is the hotel, which is nestled between the sea and the mountains and bathed in the warm tones of olive trees. It provides a stunning view of the island's sunset. Our privately owned boats are available for free use by hotel guests to travel from the port of Hydra to Four Seasons Hydra and back. The meeting place is in the waterfront of Hydra, just in front of the bell tower. The journey lasts five minutes. It takes around 2.5 hours to go from Athens to Metochi, the settlement that is on the other side of Hydra, while traveling by car. You may take a ferry from the Piraeus port to Hydra; both leave at gate E8 (in front of St. Spyridon church). There are three ways to go from the airport in Athens to the port in Piraeus: via cab, the bus number X96, or the subway (blue line, change to green line at Monastiraki station).
